The temperatures in Florida have already reached summer levels. It is HOT! Therefore it makes sense to create digital dog-themed images appearing poolside. For this month’s project, I created a Dog Days of Summer Journal.

For the bones of the journal, I upcycled cardboard from a cereal box and glued fabric to cover. I punched 2 holes, set 2 eyelets, and then tied ribbon for the closure.

I used the software program Canva to alter the images and add the poolside backgrounds.

I went through junk mail and flyers meant to be recycled and created the signature. I used the 3-hole binding method to insert. Then the fun began!

I matched the printed altered digital images to the pages. I haven’t journaled in the book; however, I look forward to taking it on a mini vacation in the coming weeks.
The fabric was an inexpensive fat quarter bundle purchased at Walmart.
